Widgets are very useful--they can serve as reminders, be time-saving devices, etc! Certainly, widgets are tremendous tools on Liaison Librarians' subject pages--the patron can use a subject page as a one-stop shop.
I have an Amazon.com search box on my blog. I added two Countdown widgets to my iGoogle page: one to calculate how much time I have left to complete University Library 23 Things and one to calculate how many days are left until the Royal Wedding!
Woo, royal wedding! The other day, I was in the grocery store and I saw some royal wedding cookies. I was very, very tempted to buy them, but they were 20 dollars, which is a bit much for cookies, I think.
